The Tenth Amendment Center website is a resource that I highly recommend.  This organization provides tons of useful information that pertains to the tenth amendment.

If you are seeking even more knowledge, please check out this website and read all of the helpful, useful and educational information the organization provides.  There’s some interesting facst about the State Sovereignty Movement that every Citizen should be aware of.

It seems that certain states have finally said “Enough with the federal government ignoring the rights and freedoms of our State Citizens, we’ve had enough and we’re doing something about it!”.

This movement is something great to read about, and all I can say about it is this; “It’s about time!”.

Click here for a list of current State resolutions and the status of each resolution.

You’ve heard “You have the right to remain silent” many times I am sure. Maybe you have been arrested, maybe you’ve heard it on TV, but you’ve certainly heard these words at some time in your life.

Did you know that you have the right to remain silent even if you are not facing arrest?

Did you know that when an Officer questions you that you also have the right to say “No”?

FlexYourRights.org has produced a DVD that every Citizen should watch! It explains your rights when questioned by an officer in greater detail than an article ever could.

This DVD is narrated by retired ACLU director Ira Glasser. Mr. Glasser served as Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union from 1978 until 2001. (Source FlexYourRights.org)

I would recommend that every Citizen purchase a copy of this DVD and show it to family, friends, congregations and even public officials in your local community!  Click here to purchase a copy today.

If you can’t afford the DVD or don’t wish to buy it, then please at least take an hour of your time and watch the video below.

Learn tricks officers use to get Citizens to give away their rights, and learn what YOU can do to not bow under police pressure to searching without a warrant.

How Laws Are Made

Before a new law is made, a series of steps have to be followed to ensure that our democracy functions properly.

First, a bill must be drafted. Once drafted, a member of congress must officially introduce the bill, thereby becoming the bills sponsor. If more than one member sponsors a bill, then they become known as co-sponsors.

The bill can then be introduced in the House (House of Representatives) whenever the House is in session.

Once introduced to the house, the house clerk assigns it a number, the bills title is then read on the House Floor (the first reading) and then referred to a committee for markup. Read more
