Are Pro-Lifers Domestic Terrorists? According to the Department of Homeland Security, it would appear so. A security report from April 7, 2009 labeled ““Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” states that:
“Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented . . . and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.”
The report also uses words as “Domestic Rightwing Terrorists”, “Violent Radicalization”, “Terrorist Attacks”, “Militia”, “Violent Capabilities” etc.
I find it appalling that this report also includes groups of people who detest violence of any type, including the needless slaughter of millions of unborn babies! How dare the DHS associate pro-lifers with those who do violent harm to others!
I am pro-life and proud of it, but I would never condone or endorse violence of any nature, and to be placed in the same group as those who attacked us on 911 is downright wrong!
When an extremist bombs an abortion clinic, this person does not represent what Pro-Lifers believe in, and just because a clinic is bombed, one should not say that those of us opposed to abortion are hate oriented rightwing extremists! We stand for life, not death and destruction caused by human hands. We are PRO LIFE, for life, FOR LIVING….we stand for a babies right to live and we also stand for a doctors right too live even if he or she is performing abortions. When bombs are used, this causes death and destruction, and this is something that REAL Pro-life advocates do NOT stand for! Period! And for the DHS to lump us in the same category as those who do believe in death and destruction, well this is just WRONG and anyone who is pro-life about ANYTHING should do something about it!
If you are against the death penalty, you should do something!
If you are against the horrid slaughter of millions of unborn babies, you should do something!
If you are against death caused by students bringing handguns to school for the purpose of killing classmates and teachers, you are also “for life” and you should do something!
If you believe that the deliberate destruction of human life is considered ethically or morally wrong, then you are pro-life (FOR LIFE). You may be pro-choice in your beliefs about unborn babies, and you may personally believe that an unborn baby is not a “living” being, but that doesn’t mean you are not pro-life when it concerns the deliberate destruction of life as in the cases of when classmates kill other classmates ot in other cases of murder.
Click here and sign the petition demanding a retraction from the Department of Homeland Security today. If you do not demand a retraction today, this instant, then you have NO right to complain about terrorist acts of ANY nature because in essence your inaction shows that you agree with Homeland Security that it is OK to label any group of peaceful people as domestic terrorists!
Does 911 mean nothing to you? Do you really believe that peaceful law-abiding citizens are the same as those who orchestrated the events of 911?
If you do not demand a retraction from DHS, then yes, this is what you are saying.
This security report states those in “opposition to abortion”. Opposition to abortion is associated with the terms “Pro-Life”. But there are many forms of life, and anyone who is for life, for ANY purpose, should stand behind those of us who also consider the life of the unborn because we are not violent types who wish harm to anyone!
If you are against the needless slaughter of classmates by fellow students, you are pro-life and you believe that every student in the country has the right to safety in the classrooms. I think this lumps all of us together, those who are pro-life, pro-choice, Christians, Atheist, it doesn’t matter what your views are, you are still for life!
How would you like it if “opposed to handguns being brought on school property” was also included in this report? You would be outraged as you should be!
Please, I ask you to do something about this. A group of peaceful citizens should never be associated with those who cause death and destruction, especially when we oppose violence of any type.

American Citizens did not accuse the whole federal government of being terrorists during the Waco and Ruby Ridge episodes. Citizens did not liken every FBI employee as violent extremists when an FBI sniper shot and killed an innocent woman (Vicki Weaver) on August 22, 1992. Citizens did not call U.S. Marshals Service officers domestic terrorists when one of their own shot a 14 year old boy in the back (Samuel Weaver) on August 21, 1992.
American Citizens were outraged about the events in Waco that resulted in the death of 76 people, including more than 20 children. But citizens did not accuse the ATF of being a terrorist group full of extremists who used extreme violent force against American Citizens.
Citizens did not use these terms because we know that most government employees are not like the few government employees who have used unnecessary deadly violence in the past.
Citizens across the country should expect the same courtesy in return!
Again, click here to sign the petition demanding a retraction by the Department of Homeland Security. If you do not sign this petition, then your inaction is basically telling the DHS that it is OK to label ANY group of citizens as domestic terrorists. Including those citizens who support the American Red Cross, the VFW, Amnesty International, Shriners International, the ACLU, the NAACP, the Humane Society, Planned Parenthood, PETA and basically any other group who supports a group of peoples beliefs.
Here’s how the report COULD look in the future if you do not let the Department of Homeland Security know that American Citizens will not tolerate DHS labeling peaceful law abiding citizens as domestic terrorists or hate-oriented rightwing extremists.
“Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented . . . and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to animal cruelty, opposition to veteran abuse, opposition to spousal abuse, opposition to the abuse of minorities, opposition to global warming, opposition to cruelty to children, opposition to the holocaust, opposition to abortion or immigration.”
Demand accountability now, and let the DHS know that you do not support labeling groups of peaceful people as “Domestic Rightwing Terrorists”.
If you do not sign the demand for retraction, then you are basically saying that it’s ok for the Department of Homeland Security to release reports labeling any group of people that the DHS likes, as domestic terrorists, regardless if they are peaceful law-abiding citizens or not.
If you are saying this, then you do not deserve the right to “Freedom” and will have no cause for complaining when our Government takes more of our liberties and freedoms. You’re not signing the demand for retraction is a slap in the face to every member of the military that has ever served, bled or died for this country! It is also a slap in the face to every organization and person that has worked hard to protect our civil rights and liberties, including people like Abraham Lincoln, Susan B. Anthony and Martin Luther King Jr.
